Someone Is Stealing Our Speak-a-Books

Been hearing some strange reports these last few weeks.

And it’s happened to several attorneys who read these emails.

They liked the sound of our Speak-a-Book program, so clicked one of the links at the bottom and requested an info pack and complimentary sample book. But when the package arrived a few days later, it was empty.

No book.

Just a torn-open envelope that had been taped back together.

It looks like somebody in the Postal Service is stealing our Speak-a-Books. Not every book we send out. But at least half a dozen or so.

What’s strange about all this is that it only started happening over the last month or so. It looks like one or more postal workers have figured out that if an envelope says “Jacobs & Whitehall” on it, it probably contains a book about divorce, bankruptcy, or one of life’s other big problems.

My guess?

The 3-4 months of pandemic and lockdown that we all went through is starting to take its toll — and books like these have suddenly become VERY relevant to many of the poor folks who now face divorce or financial ruin.

If this is the case, I don’t begrudge them stealing our books.

(We can always send out another one.)

But it goes to show:

These books are obviously compelling. Especially to people who are going through hard times. There is growing demand for this information.

So, it might make sense to author one of your own ASAP.
