Andrew A. Iacobelli was born in Toronto, Ontario and raised in Vaughan. Andrew is a dual citizen of Canada and the United States and he is licensed to practice law as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Province of Ontario, and as an Attorney in the State of Michigan and State of Florida. Andrew is also admitted to practice in the United States Federal Courts, and the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal.
Andrew initially practiced with another plaintiff’s personal injury firm, before establishing Iacobelli Law Firm P.C. with offices in Ontario Canada and Iacobelli Law Firm P.A. with offices in Florida USA. Andrew restricts his practice to the representation of personal injury victims in claims involving serious injuries and wrongful death in Ontario and Florida, and is a member of trial lawyers and justice associations in both Canada and the United States. Andrew also regularly represents injured clients in both Canada and the United States that are involved in cross-border accidents.

The goal of this book is to provide guidance and assistance if you or a loved one has been involved in an automobile accident while travelling across the USA-Canada border. This is a book that seeks to explain some of the common issues and questions that arise when a resident of Ontario, Canada is injured in the United States, or when a U.S. resident is injured while in Ontario, Canada. This is not a textbook for a law school, but rather an introduction to the civil litigation and insurance claims process for victims involved in cross-border auto accident cases. Every attempt has been made to provide this information in conversational English, and to avoid “legalese” so that people with little or no legal training can understand it.
